I went to a few different museums to look for interesting items.

I took a note of a few object that I think they got potential to base an animation on.

I could do an animation about this soldier of the Own Guard, it could be about the different stories and moment he observed as a town guard of Edinburgh.

One of the first telescope set to observe stars.

These were a collection of letters/Cards sent to soldiers who gave their life in battles.

A clay model of Edinburgh in Children's museum. Could be like, clay people actually comes out of the houses when nobody's watching.

An animation depicting what was happening and then freezes on the the exact moment and zooms out to be a poster?

This is a meaty one, an animation be done about it on horror style or an animation with fantasy like story line.

Sad stories about dogs always get me.

Nothing bad about a motivational boxing story!

A display box about John Angus Potter with his diary, tools and works of his time working on aa cargo ship.

A cool piece of art, looks like a robot arm to me, another possibility of a fantasy story.

Formative Hand In

4th Year Final Animation Characters After discussing with my tutors, I have decided to go with an overall limited colour palette of old paper unless the characters are under certain lighting. This is achieved by having a base layer, then a layer of 3 colour range is added. Which is then set as overlay in post production. Production After the rigging of the characters I am ready to being production. I ahve already prepared most of the parts needed. The boat and paddle When setting up a scene, I extract the different components of my drawing and add depth to it in Maya Once of the main concern was the water aspect of the film. This is solved by applying a ramp shader with 2 colour on a ocean layer after converting it into polygons. As you can soo the ocean are too off with the style I am looking for. After applying the ramp shader it fits much better. Music I have been working with Ollie Yang on the soundtrack of my film. Password: rootandcur...

External Project - Dehumaniser : Complete Part1

I have completed the Dehumaniser project, and I recorded my steps and process to show how it was done. I will be covering designing, modeling, UV mapping and rigging Enjoy ! Designing I received a very limited design of the original orc, the client asked me to complete the whole design of the orc. Above was the result. Modeling It all started off by carving the basic shape of the body out. Then I proceed to extrude the arm out. As well as adding details on the model, defining the back and chest better. A block was added to be used as the base of the head. Head defined. Legs added. Mirrored. Teeth and gum were added as well as the tongue. Increased poly count as well as stronger definition on the muscles. Working on the head and face features. Smoothed, the head is starting to take shape. After working on the body, it was ready to be smoothed. See above for results. ...

Memory Project

Project about my childhood memory This is a project that is still on going, it will be done by drawing the moving body parts on Photoshop and animated on Aftereffect. The out line of the story is... When I was a kid, I used to be obsessed with a TV show call Ultraman. It is about a giant superhero who fight monsters to project the earth. One day my mom came home with a present, it was Ultraman's transform device. (that is frames of the curtains moving) However I weren't happy at all, this was because I truly believed I could transform into Ultraman with the device. And as a 10 years old I did not know what to do with such power. So I annoyed my brother and asked him about it nonstop. I said.
